ShotLab Privacy Policy

The latest privacy and usage terms for ShotLab.

1. Introduction

ShotLab is a mobile app for turning screenshots and images into polished, share-ready visuals. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use ShotLab. ShotLab's image editing workflow is local-first. The app may still use analytics, subscription, and platform services to operate, improve, and support the product.

2. Imported Images and Projects

ShotLab is designed around images that you choose to import, paste, share into the app, edit, or export. ShotLab does not upload imported images to our servers or analytics providers. Imported images are processed on your device for editing, previewing, saving projects, and exporting visuals. Saved projects may store local image references, cached image files, and editing settings on your device. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use the images and content you import.

3. Local Storage, Clipboard, and Photo Library

ShotLab may store drafts, recent projects, cached media, exported images, and editing settings locally on your device or in app storage. You can delete exported files, drafts, or app data through ShotLab or your device storage controls when available. If you choose to paste an image, ShotLab reads image data from the clipboard only for that user-initiated action and stores it locally for editing. If you choose to import from or save to your photo library, ShotLab uses the photo library permissions needed for those actions. The current editing workflow does not require camera or microphone access.

4. Subscriptions and Purchase Data

ShotLab may offer free and premium features. Purchases, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store, Google Play, Adapty, or the relevant platform provider. ShotLab does not receive your full payment card details. The app and subscription providers may process product identifiers, prices, currency, purchase results, entitlement status, subscription status, and related transaction metadata needed to unlock premium features, prevent fraud, provide support, and comply with platform rules.

5. Analytics and Measurement

ShotLab uses analytics to understand app performance, product usage, onboarding, paywall, and purchase funnel behavior, and to improve the product. Analytics providers may process app events, product interactions, app version, device or installation identifiers, device information, locale, platform, and coarse technical information. ShotLab may use Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, and Meta App Events. We do not use analytics to inspect the content of your imported images. Advertising identifier collection, automatic app event logging, ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are intended to be disabled where configured in the app.

6. Third-Party Services

ShotLab relies on third-party services for app distribution, subscriptions, analytics, and measurement. These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to support app functionality, billing, analytics, fraud prevention, platform compliance, or support.

  • App Store and Google Play for distribution, purchases, and refunds
  • Adapty for subscription status and premium entitlement management
  • Firebase Analytics for app analytics
  • Mixpanel for product analytics
  • Meta App Events for onboarding, paywall, purchase funnel, and measurement events

7. Sharing and Exports

ShotLab helps you export visuals that you may share outside the app. Once you share an exported image through your device share sheet, social platforms, messaging apps, websites, documentation tools, or other services, that sharing is governed by the privacy policies and settings of those services.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Local drafts, cached media, project data, and exports remain on your device until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app, subject to your device storage and backup settings. Device backups, operating system sync, and destinations you choose through the share sheet are not controlled by ShotLab. Subscription records, analytics events, identifiers, and related technical records may be retained by third-party providers as needed for billing, fraud prevention, analytics, support, and legal compliance.

9. Children's Privacy

ShotLab is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as ShotLab evolves. Any updates will be posted on this page. Continued use of ShotLab after changes means you accept the updated policy.

11. Contact

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at trackit.tr@gmail.com or through the support options provided in the app.
